Golf999 Terms and Conditions for members
Please read them carefully
Glossary of Terms
1. In these conditions:
"Golf999" & "Discounts999" - Golf999 Ltd (company number 06395030) having its registered office at The Business Centre, 71 Cookridge Avenue, Leeds LS16 7NA.
"Order" - an order placed by You, online through www.golf999.co.uk /www.discounts999.co.uk or by sending payment to Golf999 Ltd, The Business Centre, 71 Cookridge Avenue, Leeds LS16 7NA, or by calling on 0844 9110999;
"Website" - the Website at www.golf999.co.uk
"You" - the golfer who purchases membership of Golf999 subject to these conditions.
"Member" - any person who has purchased an annual membership within the previous 12 months, (the period of membership may be extended during promotional periods. The expiry of membership will be clearly displayed on the golf999 & Discounts999 membership cards).
"Membership Card" - an ID card issued by Golf999 to each member. The card will display the member's name, membership number and membership expiry date. Membership cards MUST be produced upon arrival at the Associated Course/Retail outlet and when requested to do so by any official of that club/restaurant/retail outlet.
"Associated Golf Club" - any golf club which has agreed in writing to be associated with Golf999. Each "associated golf club" will set its own terms and conditions, and "members" will abide by the limitations set by each of those golf clubs.
"Participating Retail Outlet" - any shop, hotel, restaurant or dealership which has agreed in writing to be associated with Golf999. Each "Participating retail Outlet" will set its own terms and conditions, and "members" will abide by the limitations set by each of those outlets.
"Competitions" - any competition organized by Golf999. These include golf competitions and online competitions.
ENTERING COMPETITIONS
All competitions will be entered online. All competitions will be listed on the website. Competition fees will be paid at the time of entry and are non refundable. Each competition will clearly show what is included in the entry fee. A further £10 will be collected from each player upon arrival at the venue. This is to cover the cost of prizes. Failure to pay the £10 will result in the player being unable to win a prize. It does not preclude them from winning the competition, only from claiming a prize.
A start sheet for each competition will be posted on the website and emailed to each participant at least 48hrs before the event. Competitors will play in handicap order (low - high).
Winners of all our competitions will be posted on the website.
It is the winner's responsibility to contact the webmaster within 28 days of their details being posted to claim their prize.
Failure to contact the webmaster in the time limit will automatically lead to the competition being re-drawn.
"Handicap" - a handicap provided for you by Golf999 or by any CONGU recognised golf club. Upon additional payment of £30 p.a Golf999 will provide members with a handicap certificate. Certificates are processed by Gregg Hall Golf Club Ltd. upon submission of 3 verified score cards, or a handicap certificate from a CONGU recognised golf club. You must hold a current handicap certificate in order to win prizes in any Golf999 golf competition. You may still play in the events, but not win prizes. Golf999 handicaps are not valid for any competition outside of Golf999. Some "associated golf clubs" insist that members produce their handicap certificate before being allowed to play golf on their course. It is your responsibility to check if a handicap certificate is required and to request an up to date certificate from Golf999. You must send a SAE to Golf999 and allow 5 working days for your request to be processed.
2. These conditions shall be deemed incorporated in any Order for Membership placed by You.
3. These conditions represent the entire agreement between You and Golf999 and may only be varied, amended or modified by a Golf999 authorised representative, and in the event of any conflict arising between these conditions and any attempt by You to alter these conditions, these conditions shall prevail.
4. These conditions override and replace any other of Golf999 conditions relating to www.golf999.co.uk . & www.discounts999.co.uk
5. The main terms of these conditions are printed in your "member" welcome pack.
Price of Membership
6. The standard price of membership (RRP) of Golf999 shall be £100 per annum and price (RRP) of membership of Discounts999 shall be £40 per annum which must be paid by You at the time of Order. (special offers may apply).
Golf999 Members
7. Golf999 members must hold and produce a current Golf999 membership card. Only upon production of their membership card will they be entitled to the agreed discount set by the club they are visiting. Failure to produce a current membership card will result in that member having to pay a full green fee. No refund will be given once the full green fee has been paid. Golf999 members can play with non members. The non member(s) will be required to pay a full green fee.
Membership will run for 12 months from the date of joining i.e. 21st April 2008 - 20th April 2009.
Membership will be automatically renewed 7 days before expiry and a new 12 month membership card issued. Members will be notified, in writing (email), of any charges made to their credit/debit cards
8. All requests to play at the Associated Golf Course are subject to tee availability on the day and time requested.
9. Any single Golf999 booking must comprise of no more than four or eight players (as specified by each Associated Course at the time of booking). Membership is strictly for casual play only and cannot be used by You as a substitute or part payment for any society/corporate booking for formal competition play where prizes are presented. Separate bookings on any one day by groups of players who are deemed to be part of the same party and which in total exceeds the maximum number of players as allowed by each Associated Course, may not claim the Golf999 membership rate without the express agreement of the Associated Golf Course at the time of booking.
10. The number of times You are allowed to play at each Associated Golf Course in any 12 months period may be limited by the Participating Course. Please check this at time of booking. Usage is strictly monitored at the Associated Courses when the number of visits is restricted. If You attempt to play more than the allowed number of times You will not be allowed Golf999 terms.
11. Membership can only be used on the days specified by each of the Associated Golf Courses on the Website and at the specific tee times specified by the Associated Course at the time of booking
12. Membership is valid at all Associated Courses listed on the Website which is current at the time. Associated Golf Courses are not obliged to accept your booking, and will only do so when appropriate tee times are available.
13. Golf999 membership is only valid if You have telephoned the Participating Course in advance, first declared that You are a Golf999 member and then booked a tee time.
14. At some of the Associated Golf Courses only members with official Golf999 club handicaps will be allowed to play. In these cases You will be asked to present a current handicap certificate when paying the discounted Green Fee. If You do not have a certificate You will not be allowed to play. It is Your responsibility to check with the Participating Course whether a handicap certificate is required.
15. You must dress properly for golf. You will be refused access to Associated Golf Courses and club-houses if dressed in jeans, T-shirts, trainers or similar. Some Participating Courses have strict dress codes in the club-house. You should check when You telephone to book.
Discount999 Members
16. Discount999 members must hold and produce a current Golf999 or Discount999 membership card. Only upon production of their membership card will they be entitled to the agreed discount set by the retail outlet they are visiting. Failure to produce a current membership card will result in that member having to pay full price. No refund will be given once the full price has been paid. Golf999 / Discounts999 members can take a number of guests. The number of guests allowed per visit is set by each retail outlet. Members must check how many guests they are allowed at the time of booking.

17. All requests to dine at the Associated Retail Outlets are subject to availability on the day and time requested.
18. Membership can only be used on the days specified by each Associated Retail Outlet on the Website.
19. Membership is valid at all Associated Retail Outlets listed on the Website which is current at the time. Associated Retail Outlets are not obliged to accept your booking, and will only do so when appropriate tables are available.
20. Golf999/Discounts999 membership is only valid if You have telephoned the Participating Retail Outlet in advance, first declared that You are a Golf999/Discounts999 member and then booked a table time.
The Website
21. The details of the Associated Golf Courses and, the Participating retail outlets published on the Website are based upon information supplied by the Associated Golf Courses and associated retail outlets and may be subject to change without notice. Whilst every care has been taken to ensure the accuracy of such detail on Website, You must telephone the Associated Course/Retail Outlet prior to booking travel or other arrangements to check that all published information is correct. Some Associated Courses and Participating Retail Outlets may have amended or added specific terms, in which case these become part of the offer and must be checked at the time of booking.
Exclusion and Limitation of Golf999’s Liability
22. Golf999 membership discounts cannot be used in conjunction with any other short term incentive, green fee discount, promotion or otherwise which the Associated Courses or the Participating Retail outlets may from time to time advertise. It is up to You to check whether the Associated Course is offering a more favourable rate than available through the Membership and Golf999 accepts no liability for You having paid the Golf999 members’ Green Fee instead of You having taken advantage of a more favourable short term incentive, green fee discount, promotion or otherwise.
23. Where You have complied and are able to show compliance by You with all of Your obligations under these conditions but your membership has not been honoured by an Associated Course or a Participating Retail outlet Golf999’s total liability to You in respect of the Promotion shall be limited to the total of that day’s subscription.
24. The limit in condition 23 applies to loss or damage caused to You in tort in contract or otherwise, including loss or damage caused by Golf999’s negligence but not in the case of death or personal injury or fraudulent misrepresentation.
25. Golf999 shall have no liability to You by reason of any representation (unless fraudulent) or any implied warranty, condition or other term, or any duty at common law or under any express term of these conditions for any costs of travel, accommodation, loss of expectation, other financial or like loss or any indirect, special or consequential losses.
26. Every effort will be made to fulfill Orders for Membership quickly. Nevertheless, You should allow 10 days from the date of submission of your passport size photograph, for delivery of your membership card. Golf999 accepts no liability for the late delivery of Membership Cards.
General
27. Only authentic ID Membership cards supplied by Golf999 & Discounts999, sequentially numbered and specifically embossed, will be accepted by the Associated Courses and the Participating Retail Outlets.
28. Membership Cards will be rendered invalid if they are misused or are altered or defaced.
29. Associated Golf Clubs are able to report any issues with members, including no shows and disputes. Where a report of misconduct or abuse of membership is reported, Golf999/Discounts999 will investigate and in certain circumstances suspend membership. Should the complaint be unfounded, the period of suspension will be added on to the end of the member’s membership expiry date. In extreme circumstances, membership will be withdrawn completely. In such cases the member will be informed in writing. No refund will be made. An excluded member can appeal the decision, in writing, within 14 days of receiving his/her exclusion order.
30. Golf999/Discounts999 are always willing to investigate any complaints relating to Membership as it helps to ensure that high standards are upheld.
31. If any provision of these conditions is held by any competent authority to be invalid or unenforceable, in whole or in part, the validity of the other provisions of these conditions and the remainder of the provision in question shall not be affected.
32. These conditions shall be governed by the Laws of England and You and Golf999 both agree to submit to the non exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England.
