As organisers of Golf Events and members of clubs, we see first hand the difficulties Golf Clubs face in maximising their potential supplementary income.
- You have wasted tee times every day, which, if sold, would bring additional revenue to your club.
- Your bar, restaurant and pro shop would benefit too.
- Voucher schemes do bring some increased revenue but do not guarantee the golfer behind them.
Our vision
We want to create a National Golf Association for Emergency Personnel, and their families, friends and associates. We also want to offer our scheme to all playing members of all our associated clubs, therefore allowing your members to play on other associate courses as though guests of one of that club's members.
Emergency Services personnel's commitment to public service generally precludes them from the advantages of Golf Club membership. Many of them having been club members in the past have had to withdraw due to the financial commitment of such memberships balanced against its use. Their working rotas generally run across the full 24 hour day, 7 days a week. Their spare time often falls at odd times of the day, early morning, late afternoons, mid week days off and only one weekend off in every four.
Emergency Services personnel are recognised as pillars of society working to strict codes of conduct and as such are a more attractive proposition as a visitor than a faceless voucher holder.
As members of our club, they are entitled to play any of the associated golf clubs for a reduced green fee. The playing fee would be the same paid by the guest of a member of that golf club.
Every member has and MUST produce their club membership card, baring their details and membership number. Failure to produce their membership card will result in them having to pay the full visitors fee.
The golf club is able to leave feedback on the visitor(s) good or bad. This allows us to address any problems should they occur.
We organise competitions throughout the year for members, at various associated clubs.
These competitions are booked 6-12 months in advance and are charged at the same members' guest price.
Handicaps
Members will be given a handicap, which, as with other clubs, will be updated throughout the year. Members will have to play in at least 4 events per year to maintain their handicap.
What are the benefits to your club?
- You can maximise revenue from your club's biggest asset – the course, filling some of your wasted tee times.
- Your pro shop, bar and restaurant will benefit from increased revenue.
- You can set your own limitation on the scheme
- You will have password protected access to our website, allowing you to update your course details and limitations.
- You can accept members when you are quiet and refuse them when you are busy.
- All golfers will be allocated a handicap, calculated in accordance with EGU/CONGU guidelines.
- Our golfers are not 'faceless' voucher holders. You have the facility to leave feedback on our members – good or bad. Any issues will be dealt with appropriately by our management team.
Potential value to your club
Example:
- If your members' guest price is £20.
- If you set aside one, 8 minute, tee time per week (4 ball), and take an average of £10 per golfer in extras – drinks, food, shop etc, your club will make £120 per week, or £6000 per year.
- Set aside one tee time per day (6 days excl. Saturday) and your club could make an additional £36,000 per year, for doing nothing but having an association with our club.
- Host one of our members' events
- Our events will be for 60-100 golfers.
- At a members' guest fee of £20 and with an average drinks and food spend of £12.50 per person.
- Such an event will raise between £2000 and £3250 for your club on one of your quiet days.
What does an association to Golf999 cost you?
NOTHING! All we ask is that you allow our members to play your course, at the members' guest fee, when it is quiet.
